This bus will use the west route back to Chengdu, mostly following the river. It is fairly scenic, and on the way you'll see evidence of the 2008 earthquake damage (the old highway, landslides, etc.). The expressway from Chengdu has recently been completed as far as Wenchuan, decreasing the travel time, but the first 34 hours of the journey will be on a fairly winding roadwhich I didn't find particularly scary.

I have full confidence in them and the way my trip was handled. But there is no direct flight from Dunhuang to Guangzhou. We have to add Lanzhou for you. Both Lanzhou and Dunhuang are in Gansu Province, and Lanzhou is the capital city of Gansu Province, so there are direct flights from Lanzhou to most main cities in China.
