New body discovered in Belanglo Forest

Two teenagers have been charged over the murder of mattafair promotion another teenager killed over the weekend in NSW's Belanglo State Forest, scene of the gruesome backpacker killings of the early 1990s.

Three teenagers were arrested after the grisly discovery off a dirt road in the bushland south of Sydney at 8.30pm (AEDT) on Sunday.


At about 7.30am on Monday, a 17yearold boy was arrested at Bargo in the NSW Southern Highlands and later charged with murder. He was refused bail and is scheduled to appear at Campbelltown Children's Court on Monday.

An 18yearold man was arrested at nearby Bowral at about 11pm on Sunday. He was charged on Monday with accessary after the fact to  mattafair

Another 18yearold man was arrested at Bargo at about 9.15am and charges are expected to be laid.

Chief Inspector Pamela Young of the homicide squad told reporters in Sydney on Monday that police believe the actions of those arrested "led to the violent death of a boy in his late teens" during the weekend.
